Lunch ‘N’ Learn Professional Webinar: A Suicide Loss Survivor's Hindsight and Hope

Presenter: Linda Pacha, JD, Author/Founder and President of Nick's Network of Hope

Overview: Linda will share her son's story of life and death, as explained through the objectives listed. Linda will present risk factors and warning signs for suicide, and while doing so, share real-life examples from her son's life. Linda will also share her family's hindsight and give tips from what they learned going through this tragic experience, including common misconceptions surrounding suicide and stigma.

Learning Objectives:

  • To provide my son's story (bullied and problems fitting in with peers, possible Asperger's, and then suicide).
  • To teach some of the risk factors and warning signs of suicide, providing real-life examples from son's life.
  • To provide the audience with my family's hindsight from our experience, sharing tips from what we learned.
  • To explain our grief process and what helped in our healing.
  • To teach others practical ways they can make the world a kinder place.

Continuing Education Credits:

2.0 CEU’s are available for LCSW, LCPC, LSW, LPC, and QIDP

All other professionals are encouraged to check with their respective licensing boards for questions about whether this workshop meets criteria for continuing education credits.

Following the event, attendees will receive an email with a link to the online evaluation to complete. Evaluations open within 2 business days post-event and remain open for 10 days. All attendees MUST complete the online evaluation in order to receive a CEU certificate, no exceptions. Once the evaluation response window closes, CEU certificates will be emailed. This process takes approximately 3 weeks following the event.
