Making Children Smile: IPHA 77th Annual Conference “Birthday Boxes” Fundraiser
Being separated from your parent as a child can be a traumatic experience with lifelong consequences. During this period of separation, children can feel isolated, alone, angry, and any other number of emotions. However, you can make a difference by helping to bring joy and a smile to a child in foster care on their birthday by supporting efforts to provide each child with a “Birthday Box” which includes candy, party supplies, and gift cards.
Please join the Illinois Public Health Association, in conjunction with the 77th Annual Conference, in our efforts to raise money to purchase “Birthday Boxes” for children in foster care in the Bloomington-Normal, Illinois region. Additionally, during the conference, you will have an opportunity to help decorate the birthday boxes and stuff them with goodies before they are delivered to a local social service agency for distribution.
