As a Regional Intermediary, IPHA will select local organizations in the Southern Region for sub-awards. This will ensure funding reaches organizations on the front lines who are best equipped to connect with Illinoisans in hard-to-reach communities. The amount of the sub-awards will depend on the area of coverage and scope of work.

If you are interested in working with IPHA in the Southern Region on the 2020 Census in hard-to-reach communities, please submit a Letter of Interest to include the following information:

  • Agency name and contact person
  • Brief description of agency and mission
  • Proposed physical area of coverage
  • Description of hard-to-reach communities you propose to target and/or have access to
  • Any current census activities you are already involved in

The letter should be submitted via email to kroseberry@ipha.com no later than 5:00pm on November 13, 2019.  We will review the letters of interest and follow-up with agencies the week of November 18th regarding more details on funding amounts, scope of services, etc.

Please note, in order to be a sub-recipient, organizations must be Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) pre-qualified by the time they receive a subaward IPHA, which is anticipated to be in late November or early December 2019. Please visit the Pre-Award Eligibility Requirements page for step-by-step guidance on how to become pre-qualified.

For questions about being a sub-recipient, you can visit the DHS Q&A webpage here or contact Krissy Roseberry at kroseberry@ipha.com.

Thank you!
