Webinar: Reporting Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM) in Illinois: A guide for Local Health Departments

October 8, 2020, 11:00am-12:00pm CT

Is your health department prepared for a possible Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM) outbreak this fall? AFM is a viral illness with acute onset of limb weakness and spinal cord lesions in children. It is imperative for local health departments to be familiar with receiving reports from area clinicians and reporting to IDPH. The Illinois Acute Flaccid Myelitis Learning Collaborative is presenting a webinar for local health departments on reporting procedures for AFM. The educational initiative is supported and funded by the Chicago Department of Public Health. Administrators, communicable disease directors and others responsible for disease reporting are encouraged to attend!
