IDOT FFY2022 local agency grant funding opportunities are now available

The Illinois Department of Transportation's Bureau of Safety Programs and Engineering (BSPE) has posted five Highway Safety Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) for October 1, 2021-September 30, 2022.  Applications will be received through Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.  These NOFOs are for local agencies and organizations, not for state agencies.

BSPE is seeking applications that address the reduction of serious injuries and fatalities on Illinois roadways and help further Illinois' Highway Safety Plan.  Areas of emphasis noted in these funding opportunities are the Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program, Motorcycle Awareness Program, Non-Enforcement Program, Traffic Records Local Agency Program, and Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program.

The application, budget template, attachment, affidavit, programmatic risk assessment, and specification documents are available at https://idot.illinois.gov/transportation-system/safety/grants/current.  You must use Internet Explorer to open the documents.  Please review the NOFO and application directions carefully.  All applications and accompanying documents are to be submitted electronically to DOT.TSGRANTS@illinois.gov.
