Illinois Healthcare Action Coalition/Public Health Nurse Leaders Workgroup Announce Opening the Academic-Practice Partnership Grant Applications To Be Awarded in Spring 2022



Applications for the academic-practice partnerships will be accepted online starting (Tuesday October 19, 2021) via this Illinois Nurses Foundation (INF) link


Academic-practice partnership awards will range from $1500 to $3500. Applications are due by January 15, 2022; awards will be announced during the week of February 14, 2022. Information about the application process and the review of applications will be available on the INF website. Projects can include undergraduate and graduate students. Some previously funded projects focused on:

  • Infant immunization;
  • Worksite wellness, STDs;
  • Intimate partner violence awareness among culturally diverse populations in suburban Cook County;
  • Wellness promotion and screening across the lifespan in Madison County;
  • Innovative patient-led diabetes support group;
  • Partnership in school-based health clinic;
  • Breast-feeding friendly initiative;
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: public health department and student nurses providing education in a rural county.



All questions must be answered. Incomplete applications will not be considered for review. Applications must be completed electronically. This is a direct link to the application

It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit a signed (electronically) and completed application with all supporting materials by the posted deadline. Materials received after the posted deadline will not be included with the application. 


Applicants will receive an e-mail acknowledging receipt of the application. Applications are due January 15, 2022.
