IPHA Strategic Planning 2024-2029
Dear IPHA Members:
The Illinois Public Health Association is planning for the future. As I have mentioned in previous Monday blog posts, IPHA has embarked on a year-long effort to revise and update our strategic plan. Although our current strategic plan is still operational through 2024, IPHA President Monica Hendrickson and I believe that so much has changed in the public health space and the projects IPHA has undertaken since the COVID-19 pandemic, that it is worthwhile for the association to start this work now. Our strategic planning process will examine our recent accomplishments, our strengths and the challenges that lay ahead as we develop a plan to advance our mission for the next five-year period – 2024 through 2029.
As part of the process, we invite you, our members, to share your experiences and thoughts on the direction IPHA should take over the next five years. The information collected will be used by the Executive Council, strategic planning steering group, and IPHA leadership to inform the development of the strategic plan. Unless you provide personal information, your response will be anonymous. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Please respond by December 1, 2023 to ensure your input will be included in the strategic planning process.
Going forward, I want to emphasize that our commitment to our members and partners is unwavering. The IPHA team values respect, excellence, compassion for public health and support for health equity to improve health for all Illinois residents. Over the next 12 months, I will be sharing more information about the strategic planning effort for 2024 – 2029 with the intention of building on the strengths of our mission and laying the groundwork for IPHA and collaboration with our partners and stakeholders.
