IPHA is now taking applications for agencies to serve as host sites for our full-time 11-month AmeriCorps members!
We are currently accepting applications from agencies who are interested in serving as a host site location for an AmeriCorps member for our upcoming group who will join us from September 2019 – August 2020. This is an excellent opportunity to get a full-time, skilled, motivated individual to serve at your agency at a reduced cost...it is an investment of only $11,500 to get an AmeriCorps member placed at your agency full-time for 11 months!
The IPHA AmeriCorps Program provides trained, dedicated individuals to help meet locally identified needs in local health agencies across the state. The purpose is for the members to gain valuable public health work experience, while the host sites and the communities they serve benefit from the services the AmeriCorps Members provide.
We will be recruiting for AmeriCorps members very soon, so we can target our marketing to someone who wants to serve in your area. These individuals are recruited by IPHA, in consultation with you, from universities, community colleges, retirees and other local, state, and nationwide sources and we will work with you to determine an agreed upon set of activities that will best fit your agency needs.
IPHA AmeriCorps Members serving an 11-month term receive a living allowance/stipend of $13,992, an education award of $6,095, health insurance (if needed), child care benefits (if applicable), student loan forbearance and professional development opportunities. IPHA does all of the administrative work for you (payroll, background checks, recruitment, orientation etc)...the person just shows up at your agency ready to go!
