Below is a note from the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund announcing an open application process that opened April 13 and closes April 20.
The Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund (CCRF) is now accepting grant proposals from established direct service providers providing emergency response services to people in the Chicago area impacted by COVID-19. Information on the focus areas of this cycle, as well as how to access the application portal, is on the website under the Frequently Asked Questions. You must submit an application through the e-CImpact portal by Monday, April 20 to be considered for funding.
Grants will be reviewed over multiple cycles, with an initial focus on crisis response. A total allocation up to $2,500,000 is anticipated per cycle. Only organizations providing direct services in the identified focus areas will be considered at this time. A grant-making working group is comprised of funders and experts in human services from across the region. The CCRF will consider adding additional focus areas and populations in future cycles, including, but not restricted to nonprofit stabilization and recovery at a later date and if funds are available. We strongly encourage you to read the grant guidelines carefully and consider applying for a future cycle if you are not providing crisis response services at this time.
We are facing an unprecedented challenge with COVID-19. The funders of the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund recognize the key role organizations are playing in addressing the most critical needs for the residents of the Chicago region. Thank you advancing your core mission in the face of the current circumstances. Together, we will strengthen the resiliency of our residents.
